宗像のテンちゃん&黒子のイカはりこ

福岡県宗像市の非公式キャラクター『宗像のテンちゃん』が、宗像大島はりこになりました。
宗像にも多く生息しているキテンをモチーフにしたキャラクターで、なかよしの黒子のイカもセットです。縁起の良い鯛をかかえたテンちゃんでみなさまの開運をお祈りします。

【宗像大島はりこ】 Munakata Oshima Hariko

宗像市大島の基幹産業としての漁業が島民の収益の柱です。ただ、現時点ではそれ以外の産業が育っていません。そんな中で、私たちは大島に若い人たちの興味を持てるような新たな産業を作っていく必要があると考えました。その一つが「宗像大島はりこ」です。

手の器用な人の多い大島で手作業で作れるプロダクトとして考えたのが、日本の伝統工芸である「はりこ」づくりです。私たちの希望は、大島の新しい民藝を育てていくことなのです。

Fishing as the core industry of Munakata City's Oshima Island is the mainstay of the islanders' earnings. However, at this point, no other industry has grown up. Under such circumstances, we decided that it was necessary to create a new industry on Oshima that would attract the interest of young people. One such industry is "Munakata Oshima Hariko.

We thought of making "hariko," a traditional Japanese craft, as a product that can be made by hand on Oshima, where many people are dexterous with their hands. Our hope is to nurture a new folk craft in Oshima.
